Federer the champion of grass court won the Wimbeldon for the fourth time in a row. This time he defeated Nadal in the finals to win the trophy. He never thought it would be easy especially after losing so many games to Nadal in the recent past. Federer started the game with style and won the first set 6-0 but than Nadal picked up his game and from there life was not very easy for Federer. He had to battle hard for his fourth win in this cup and it went to fourth set with two sets ending in a tie break. At the end federer proved that he still has the edge in grass court and defeated the young talented Nadal 6-0 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (2-7) 6-3.

Nadal said “I want to congratulate Federer, he played unbelievable,” “This is a difficult surface but I played my best tournament of the year here and that’s unbelievable. “I hope to come back to this final and win. I improved a lot this year and I’m very happy for that.”

Federer said “I want to say it was a great tournament for Rafael, I honestly didn’t think he was going to play the finals here this week. “That’s why I thought (Andy) Roddick and (Lleyton) Hewitt were the contenders, so it’s a fantastic effort.”
